Heuristically-Detected Virus
A heuristically-detected virus is found based on the malicious behaviors that it exhibits. These behaviors may include attempts to steal a person's sensitive information such as passwords or credit card numbers |
My Norton at home pointed this out last night, too, and designated this site as "unsafe." McAfee here at work, doesn't care. The only thing I can find online is rather vague. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heuristic_analysis). Norton does point out a possible virus, if I recall correctly "Bloodhound" or something along those lines. Is this what your message tells you, Bus? And does anyone else have any input as to whether I should just ignore the alert? Geez, I'd miss perusing this site at night. _________________ -amom

We weren't consistent in using one until one day little bugs started crawling across my monitor! There was way too much work involved in cleaning it up. _________________ -amom

We just installed a new Norton a week or so ago. Maybe it's just ultra-sensitive. _________________ -amom

Amom,This is what Norton defines the threat as:
Heuristically-Detected Virus
A heuristically-detected virus is found based on the malicious behaviors that it exhibits. These behaviors may include attempts to steal a person's sensitive information such as passwords or credit card numbers.
That was it, but my Norton runs out in 2 days and I still haven't installed my Windows 7 I got because I may be dumping Comcast entirely. I have phone, internet and tv, @ $166 a month that very often does not work.
DVR deletes programs I have set to tape, goes off in the middle of a program and leaves the screen blank, skips over channels in the menu search or just shuts it all down and leaves a green screen. 2 service techs , 2 reworked DVR's and a new remote and it is still not working.
Phone service--2 calls to my sister went to an answering machine somewhere and, 1 , I did talk to a nice guy in Minnesota( said it was 10 below that night up there) but he wasn't who I dialed or get calls(ringing) but no one on the other end.
Internet, don't believe all that nonsense in their commercials.
Oh, forgot, and begining this month, they said they will be raising their rates for regular customers, new ones can get all 3 services @$99 a month for a year though.
It would cost me 206 to get the 99 buck deal, so 206, minus 99 =107.
2 divided into 107 =53.50. Add 53.50 to 99=152.50.
152.50 is the amount Comcast makes a profit on. Old customers pay for the new customers which is why comcast can offer that promo. |

The OR should spin off a tabloid rag as a subsidiary publication... It's like having your own whorehouse... but for content and discussion
Actually, it sounds like Cody should just put a forum on his website _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Brant, i know you're just kidding...but look at the numbers...For this innocuous subject of Username, (Sorry Ondi, no offense...) the reply to view ratio is still 1 to 6 ....I think E hears what I'm saying... Let's put some advertising on here, pay the writers, and make some profit for your company...I doubt Cy or dick would disagree, (but i don't speak for those atheists...) _________________ where-ever you get it - there you have it. - Anon. |
