How many might one be able to drink without having a massive headache in the morning? _________________

Hmm...well, its a higher quality beer unlike your typical American Macros (Coors, Bud, Miller). Because those beers use things like corn to save money, they create a lower quality beer that gives you a hangover more easily. So, figure how many chit beers it would take to give you a hangover. Those are around 5 abv or less. So say its 6. ^ by 5 is 30. You should be able to kill more Old Rasputin than Bud without hurting. Rasputin's a 9 so 4 of them would be 36. Therefore, you should be able to drink at least 4 if your limit with a macro lager is 6. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! That was very thorough, my friend. Maybe we should also factor in that I'm so big I have my own orbiting moons. _________________

Well, that might skew it slightly but its still a factor of your traditional tolerance. You'll get buzzed at the same rate but be able to go a bit further than your average hangover cutoff. That's dependent on the abv, not the number of beers. Another reason why you can get a better buzz off a higher abv is you don't have to drink as much of it so you'll feel less bloated. You don't normally save on calories though because those good beers are "full-bodied." _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Got another brewski recommendation. Its another dark ale, which I seem to be on a string of. Its called Palo Santo Marron and its from the Dogfish Head brewery. Its a powerful 12 abv, putting it a tad over double the strength of a macro lager and just a notch past typical Belgian ales. Its dark as night, although not as dark as the Old Rasputin. Its sweet, a tad smokey and you can taste the alcohol in it a bit, but if you are a fan of dark english ales or stouts, you'll love it (its actually in the style known as dark american ale, but the taste doesn't vary much from the dark english ale style). _________________ The end is nigh! I'll have to check that one out. Dogfish Head makes quite a few of my favorites... In fact, I like all of them except for the Rasin d'arte (or whatever its called). I almost bought some 90 minute before the Pens game, but settled on some Victory Hop Devil. You know... "victory" for the Pens victory. And I love IPAs in the summer. Especially since I'm not a fan of wheat beers.
Anyway, CHEERS to the Penguins! and CHEERS to "The Piece" |

High on my list to try is Dogfish Head's 120 Minute IPA. Its a beastly 21% abv and supposedly a hopheads dream sipper. There's apparently a place just a mile or two west down the bank of the river from Three Rivers Stadium that sells it, but I don't even want to think about how much they probably cost. _________________ The end is nigh! Haha, 120 minute is liquid hops! I know they usually have it at Fathead's on East Carson in the south side. I used to work the 6-pack shop in the upstairs about four years back and 12oz bottles sold for 12.95... back then. Its like the Bottle Shop Cafe or Sharp Edge where you can mix and match 6-packs. They mix it up well, and usually have something that you've never heard of. |

Abombs quote has me looking at this Richard Dawkins guy. I think I'm gonna read "The God Delusional". I'm an agnostic just waiting to come out of my athiest closet.
See, we're each coming out of the closet. |

You might also want to grab a few of christopher hitchens' books...
"God is not great"
"The Portable Atheist"
Also "Crimes Against Logic" by Jamie Whyte is a good one... _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

And for a really compelling case in FAVOR of God (generic god)--- Aristotle's Physics is fantastic!
It will undoubtedly come up in the religion questions thread... _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Pick one, I'll read it. After Fridays Pens game, its gonna be a long summer of reading on the deck with a joint and a beer. See, it comes full circle back to beer. |

Read Abomb's...
