The Dems did listen to the voters. They gave them what they wanted. But the voters were too easily convinced by lies that the bill was something different than what they asked for. What would you do if someone asked you for a glass of water, you handed it to them, and they said, "no, a glass of WATER. WATER. Do you know what WATER is?" That's essentially what happened.

SSSS, what most of these idiots do not understand is, "THIS IS A BEGINNING"...
The changes will come, and along with the changes, we will experience tax increases, DEDUCTABLES, LESS COVERAGE.......but the key will be "CHANGES ARE ON THE WAY".......even the RINO GOP will want to add to the coverage, and want to increase the taxes, deductibles, and lower the coverage......

Phony--At this rate, I'll be your age or long dead by the time we are completely socialist...
SSSS-the government "took over" .21% of the private sector at the beginning of Obama's presidency & has not taken over or made plans to take anything else over since then... Again, if you do the math, at that rate, it'll take over 500 years for the country to be completely socialist...

CY-63% of 400-some thousand that responded to that poll are angry and you can type without smirking that the Dems listened to the voters? Seems to me that the Repubs were voting with the American public. The Dems were just trying to help Obama keep ONE campaign promise.

ondi-it is not the precentage but WHAT they took over. And look how well GM has done since then. Ford, who took NO bail out and was not taken over posted healthy profits. GM despite having Obama on the Board of DIrectors now is still losing money and closing plants.

I reiterate: almost all of those 63% wanted a public option. Probably most of them don't realize that the bill that just passed, which will be law soon, requires the creation of two federal health insurance plans, at least one of which must be non-profit, that are on par with Congressional benefits. That's more or less a public option. In that sense, the Dems gave the people what they wanted; the people are just a little slow on the uptake.
To say the GOP spoke for Americans is laughable. The GOP made the critical mistake of mistaking voters' disapproval of the watered down health insurance bill as approval for their methods and actions; it couldn't have been farther from the truth. Those that actually supported the GOP's ideas to start from scratch or scrap the bill number in the vast minority.

Are you talking about an online poll? Like I said, the online poll on the Fox News site said that 90% of people gave Obama an A+ for his job performance. Do you agree with that result?
The truth is that the public opinion is divided at about 50/50 for & against...

The percentage does matter...Taking over .21% of the private sector doesn't make Obama a socialist, no matter how you want to spin it. Whether the takeover worked or not is irrelevant.

ondi-it would be a very cold day when I took a Fox poll as gospel. I was refering to an MSN poll earlier today-but they had no need to poll 400K people-Cy can tell them what thenumbers mean!
Obama is much more of a Socialist than he is a Democrat. I thought that fact was well agreed to. I also feel that a business still failing after government funding and take over is VERY significant!
Cy-it is very presumtive of you to state what 63 percent are thinking. This may hit you where it hurts but very few people think like you do on most issues.
I also think November will tell you the true meaning of voter disapproval. But I am sure you will put a spin on that as well.
