Its like a frikkin fly that wont go away -SWAT! SWAT! Hey, its wrong-in my book. Aint a man to be with another man that way. I believe it says something about it in the bible too. Its plain wrong. |

When people use their religion as cover for their prejudices, it brings unwarranted disrepute on others in that religion who don't practice hate. In other words, Christians who use the Bible to condone their hatred and discrimination against gay people are an embarrassment to the millions of good Christians who don't.

You can't associate so many angry people to religion any more then you can say so many lazy people are black.
Or I could just as easily say, "why are so many homeless, jobless, hungry people also angry people"? People who suppress them never can figure that out. |

What I'm trying to say, Bus, as I attempted to explain earlier, is that I don't believe there are more angry religious people than there are angry plumbers, but there are people who have anger that is an end product of their religion, for example, the Islamic jihadists and those who rally angrily and hatefully against gay marriage and things like that (the Fred Phelps-type fringe Christians). And there are people who pick out a few stray passages in the Bible and misinterpret them to use as excuses to hate gay people. We have to remember that the Bible was written by men living in a very backward, somewhat retarded (not the mentally handicapped usage of retarded, Sarah Palin) period of history.

Oh yeah ? Well I don't see any atheistgroups out there rescuing Haitian children out of the arms of their moms. And how much money did the "Atheist Church" donate to the earthquake victims in Argentina...And when was the last time an agnostic picketed a soldier's funeral to prove that God hates freaks ??

| Um,ok then. I dont hate gay people for what they choose-damn man, I just dont agree with it-thats all. Geesh! You can really care for someone and NOT like the behaviors right? Of course.And I must have a broken seeing truth and lie detector--cause I am havin trouble recognizing sarcasim.But, that happens alot for some reason.Poor ol' Dicky-he one of those that would be beaten repeatedly at a bar for just being himself. |

So, your wife beats you-or your boy, whatever.Anyway, yeah, I aint for gay marriage--no big deal to me-at all.Hey, another blessing is that I have a beautiful woman who Ive been with and married to for goin on 23 years.Its all good. You know Brant, if you would give yourself the chance to see whats right about believing, and give it a for real go, you would be better able to make a choice that has some meaning to it. I mean, with all the things to argue against in the world---be a champion for a cause that needs an arguer....hum,arguer? You know? You really put so much effort in trying to be of opinion against it--it doesnt take even half a much effort to succeed in a belief. Try it, you might find things becoming so good in your life-(and we all could use that),that you stay anchored. |

Here again, Brant, anger is probably caused more by a personality flaw rather then caused by something environmental, unless you are a "honey dipper' and you are shoveling/bailing because your suction pump broke.
