Secretary said we have 40 {YES 40) inches of snow coming next Mon. or Tues. IT supposed to be two monster storms forming an alliance! Anyone hear anything like that? Oh Hell she could have been half lit.

Sunday night shows 2-4" and up to Tues a total of all days till then 4.3 "

maybe she meant total of all the snow so far. As far as her drinking goes, I think that is an excellant way to get through this miserable month.

Some ditzy chick I went to high school said something similar on facebook... that Mon or Tues of next week, we are supposed to get 3 feet if it hits us directly or 10 inches if it glances off and grazes us. The girl is a Moh-rahn, so I didn't put any stock in it... but now, here's independent verification of it... yet, nothing from the normal weather-information avenues says jack-chit about snowjob part deux, so I am skeptical. Monday is 5 days away... if we were expecting 10 inches-3 feet of MORE snow, Demetrius Ivory, Erin Kienzel, and Stephen Cropper would be dry humping the dopplar radar tower out in Braddock.

Decision letter was received and it's a yes! (as if I had any doubt). Financial aid and/or scholarship information to come. Did the dreaded FAFSA and it's surprising how the EFC number comes down with two kids in college. Smile We may actually get some of the free money that gets tossed around. Wink

Thanks. He's got two other applications pending, but we should hear from them before the end of the month. Then we'll be seriously comparison shopping. Visiting is fun, but decision-making is not. But it's his decision, not his parents.

No, there was never any doubt....I've worked construction with many W&J boys, and they all say good things....Couldn't afford it, sent my girl to Cal U, and they did a fine job. Also heard many good things about Waynesburg, and real good (and also real bad) things about WVU..With you as amom, he'll be fine where-ever.

I ran into a fella who works at an area store I frequent the other day, and he said he knew a guy who had a relative who works for PennDOT, and they got some kind of advance notice that a storm coming this Saturday would be dropping 20 more inches on us. Uh-huh. The 40 inches Dazes heard somebody talking about is most likely the total for February. We're sitting right about on 40 inches, and we're a light dusting away from setting an all-time record for snow recorded in any single month. If I remember correctly, the current record was set in January 1978. I remember that winter very well. It was not pleasant. At least this February snow will melt in a few weeks. That snow in January of '78 stayed around forever.

It started in early december as a wet heavy snow, had power lines down all over.
We never saw the grass again until sometime in march, belive we had 2 ice storms that year too. First one i came out of work from night shift with my car covered in nearly a half inch of solid ice as were the roads too.

Bus, I remember those ice storms. When one of them hit, the ice was so thick on my car that I had to whack it with a hockey stick to break it up. Lucky I didn't shatter any glass in the process.

My wife likes to skate so I have gone from not being able to do it at all to managing a steady pace around the ice on my own and only looking like I'm going to fall at any second as opposed to actually falling.
