Not that I know of. He plays two or three snaps a game and then sits on the bench. Can't imagine how he would get hurt. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Jets @ Bengals
I don't think you can win in the playoffs with out a good QB. And I really don't believe in Sanchez. As pointed out by Bill Simmons on espn.com "Four startering QBs finished with a lower QB rating than Sanchez's 63.0 (Matt Stafford, Josh Freeman, Delhomme and Jamarcus Russell)." Plus, he seemed to get worse as the season went on. First half: 1,443 yards, 67.6 QB rating, 8 TDs, 10 INTs. Second half (missed a game): 1,001 yards, 56.6 QB rating, 4 TDs, 10 INTs.
Eagles @ Cowboys
I really hope a punt hits the scoreboard. Say, sometime in the 4th Q with the Cowboys down by less than a FG. And then the camera shows Jerry Jones in his luxory suite with a straight face... and then they cut to a Snickers commercial. _________________

If I was starting an NFL franchise, I'd take Sanchez over Palmer. Just saying. I never got why everyone like Palmer so much. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

I would take Sanchez too. Who knows how good he'll be in 4-5 years. Palmer was supposed to be the next big thing. He definitely didn't live up to the hype. _________________

It partly rests with the Bengals IMO. They didn't take advantage of his strengths when they could, and now they've built a system they are stuck with until they decide to rebuild and its not the best fit for Palmer. He just stands back there as his talent rusts away. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

seems to have gotten a lot more tentative since the leg injury in that Steeler game when Bettis fumbled and the guy with the stabbed leg recovered and was tackled by Ben. |

Two different games, BD. Both were during the 2005/06 playoffs. Wildcard game was Pittsburgh @ Cincy, when Kimo Von Olhoffen(sp) fell into Palmers knee, tearing every ligament. Thiesman (found the mute button on my remote) keeps pointing out how Palmer doesn't look sharp as the game keeps going on.
The Indy game was the next round. That was when Nick Harper's wife stabbed him in the leg... I think it was the day before the game. The wife beater (Harper) got stitched up and played anyway. He picked up the Bettis fumble, and looked like he was home free, when Roethlisberger chased him down.
Revis with the pick! He's all over Ocho... and every other WR he's cover all year.

Palmer was at his best when he had Chad Johnson (in his prime), TJ Housyourmama (played the Welker/Ward check down roll, but is tall enough to throw the fade), and Chris Henry as a deep threat. It sounds funny to say it now, but Rudi Johnson was a beast for a few years. Teams really had to focus on him too.
Sanchez is looking rather comfortable... so far, so good. _________________

ok, seemed like Cincy for some reason, guess when we have the Steelers playing in so many post season games, you need a program to keep up. |

The refs really hosed the Jets on the opening drive of the second half. Feeley hit a FG twice in a row and had both canceled out by questionable penalties. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Bengals' kicker Shane Graham just lost his job on national television, unless he comes back to hit the game winner later on. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Cylinsier wrote: | NYJ @ CIN - One of the THREE games that is a rematch of week 17 (that's amazing). The Jets ran all over Cinnci last week...but they weren't really trying. Still, they did have starters out there at first and they looked like crap. I like the Jets to upset this one. I think they have a little bit of a swagger going from sliding into the playoffs by the skin of their teeth, and Natti peaked too early. Rex Ryan's defense has looked off at times, but if they hit on all cylinders, they are liable to give any offense fits. I like Sanchez a lot too...I think he has what it takes to make some smart decisions in a pressure situation like the playoffs. As for Palmer, I remain unsold on him and don't have a lot of faith in a strong playoff performance. If nothing else, ghosts of that knee injury a few years back will be circling his head. Jets, 27-20 |
A pretty solid pick to start off the playoffs it seems. Palmer looked terrible for most of the game. I didn't see a single pass in the first half by him that wasn't overthrown; credit his receivers for pulling down and catching the ones they did. Coles early fumble was on Palmer for making the catch something he had to really go after. Sanchez was the one that looked like a veteran here, earning his first playoff victory in his first year in the NFL (while Palmer is still looking). The Jets have some good momentum moving into the next round; wouldn't want to have to face them right now.
1 for 1 right now. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Well, the game is still scoreless after a drive per team, but the Cowboys look way superior to the Eagles right now. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Vick just threw like a 60 yard TD pass.
EDIT: Officially 76 yards. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |
