No, you're right, they were up last month. I saw the same source. However, regarding jobs, I'm getting a little sick of the complaining. Every time Obama's administration wants to pass more job legislation or unemployment benefit legislation, who stands in the way? Republicans. And they say its in the name of the budget. Well, I have news for you: when unemployment rises, its because businesses can't afford to hire. For businesses to afford to hire, they need more money. If they aren't getting it normally, then they need it from the government...or stop complaining. One or the other. But you can't complain about unemployment and whine about the budget. So pick.

Cy your right, my point is I don't think the gov. can create jobs. There has to be a need for the work and that usually will come from the private sector. The key to lasting employment isn't going to come from some flunky in the government deciding who should get the money and how much to give. It's going to come from people wanting things and people giving the consumers something they can't live without. My guess is the numbers going up last moth aren't so much anyone in governments doing, it is probably from the bad weather and should really be considered a seasonal loss.

Free and Amphy, yes, how can I be so stupid.....Osama saved my job, and I'm not showing my appreciation.....how ungrateful of me...

By the way, I've been at this job for 11 years, so how did he "save" my job?

Heck, buddy, if it wasn't for your other "hero's ", maybe at 77 you wouldn't have to work , or you should have been a Senator and you and Byrd could drag race your motorized scooters through the Rayburn Building hallways. Rolling Eyes
