Damn, you beat me to it.

Quote:
Bunning is retiring from the Senate at the end of the current session, which gives fellow party members little leverage to try to force him to change his mind. Bunning has been feuding with his home state colleague, GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, who privately urged him to retire rather than risk losing the seat to Democrats.

He's such a bitter man.

He offerd the unused funds from a previous bill. Thats realistic.
No, that's politics. Bunning's had no problem recently in voting against attempts to rein in the deficit and spending. What's almost funny is that his current obstructionism is being hailed by some on the right, in complete disregard of his own voting record. Rather than taking a stand for paygo (which he actually opposed previously) he's more likely giving the finger to McConnell for forcing his retirement. Or to his Republican colleagues up for re-election. Or he's just cruelly crazy. Either way, his filibuster is a political gift in disguise for Senate Democrats.

Apparently enough to pay for the bill. The dems didn't want to commit the funds so it was voted down.

bull, he offered chump change so he could play victim when they refused, and you're eating it up.

He gave the finger alright...

Earlier today, Bunning refused to answer questions from ABC News, even flipping his middle finger at a producer trying to catch up with him from behind.

"Excuse me! This is a senators-only elevator!" Bunning thundered as he boarded an elevator in the Hart Senate Office Building. "I'm not talking to anybody," he said.

Bunning finally relented and the bill passed, by the way. The Obaminator signed it almost immediately.

Thanks Cy. You're much more reliable than ABC News. Who apparently thought, "we'll get way more hits if we promote our headline 'Bunning Gives Finger' than report that he let the bill pass".
