That's it in a nutshell, Bus. When we pull our troops out of Iraq, how long do you think it will take for chaos to ensue, or for Iran-allied Shiites to subvert any semblance of real government. It will be, just as it was before we entered, a festering craphole. Ditto Afghanistan. It amazes me that some people seem to believe that if we run the terrorists out of Afghanistan, we have someone won the war on terror. They're like rats. You can chase them out of one area, but they'll just set up shop somewhere else. And if and when we leave Afghanistan, you can pretty much guarantee they'll move back there. Wasted lives. Wasted billions.

I have no objection to how the war in Afghanistan started, though it was botched after that. Obama is trying to clean up the mess. And, you might note, he's pulling our combat troops out this year from Iraq.
