I didn't see that coming... it seems like the offense was the half of the team that did relatively well this year...

Can you say scapegoat? I'm guessing that he didn't kiss Roethlisberger’s behind often enough, and that's why he's gone. _________________

And you're right about the offense being the good part of the team, but you can't blame anything on Dick LeBeau, because he's revered. _________________

Reports are that Bruce Arians will be retained.
He was criticized after a few of the losses for not switching up the offense. Specifically, the KC game was the only game where I questioned the play calling. I really didn't care either way. He is obviously good at what he does, but he's not irreplacible. I would be curious to see how a new OC would handle the talent on the Stillers offense. There are certainly situational calls that could be improved (red zone).
The one issue that comes to mind concerning Arians is that he didn't call many trick plays. I remember a flea flicker, and then the Holmes interception last week. I like trick plays. _________________

Very well written. I never actually saw the reports. I just heard basically that Laird had the hunch. And thats why I never really commented on it.
Steelers did fire offensive line coach Larry Zierlein. _________________

I read on one site that Arians, himself, was the source for Laird. _________________
