Just wanted to give you a heads up... throw back pepsi (made with real sugar) is at THE giant eagle in washpa... I got a fridge pack today.

Sugar A 12oz can of Pepsi has 10 teaspoons of sugar and contains 150 calories. a 20oz can has 17 teaspoons.
What type of sugar will be used in Pepsi/Mountain Dew Throwback?
Now, this is the big question. I've seen mention of "pure cane sugar" being thrown around the 'net in regards to the Throwback lineup. However, the prototype artwork noted just "Made with real sugar", while the official images we see above note "Made with natural sugar".
First, a little education. There are basically two types of sugar that could be used. Cane sugar, which is sourced from sugarcane that is grown above the ground. Then there is beet sugar, which is pulled from beets grown underground.
There is often much debate over which is preferred, but the markets as of late have positioned cane sugar as the more "sought after" product, with beet sugar being the cheaper of the two to produce. Note how many beverages have blatantly advertised that they use cane sugar (see Jones Soda and Boylan, to name a few). Whether one can actually tell the difference is something that is up to you. I'm not a food scientist!
Nevertheless, back to Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback. Per Pepsi, these beverages are "sweetened with natural sugar, a blend of cane sugar and beet sugar." So there's your answer!
This stuff below has been in soft drinks for a while. Produces the same fat azzes as sugar made sodas.

Yeah... I actually just needed a few aluminum cans and the easiest way to to buy some pop

SNAP, I almost forgot!
I got some Vernor's Ginger Ale, too! That stuff is off the HOOK! It's the only ginger ale that DOESN'T remind me of being sick... very good

Guys, if you drink a lot of sugar soda , you will gain weight like an overfed hog. 10 teaspoons of (although I have heard it was really 12) in a 12 0z can/'bottle is one hell of a lot of sugar. That goes straight on a line to the Pancreas? Same as potatoes, all that starch becomes sugar too.
my triglycerides were nearly 600 (when I had a TMJ or whatever stroke)and doc told me to cut out sugar, potatoes, and pasta, in exactly 3 months, my weight went from 222 to 162, and triglycerides went from 600 t0 87. and chorest went from 269 t0 199. |

The pepsi I bought today will probably still be there come valentines day...
And it won't make you fat if you mix it with a nice, strong laxative.

Does Laurel Springs still bottle soda?, try that Ginger Ale E, if you can find it anywhere. |

You won't be so funny E if you go around sporting a buffalo butt and 3 extra bellies , and 3-4 chins like that picture of that guy in the airplane seat.
Know a woman who downs six or more 16oz Pepsi's a day, then hiked over hill and dale with a plastic sweat suit on to lose the weight(and NOT a big eater by any stretch of the imagination) back in 1974.
Saw her about six months ago, still with the plastic suit and still hiking those hills. |
