It means your property taxes triple if you own a house, your rent doubles or triples if you rent a house.
Then your school board(not wanting to be outdone) raises the millage and a public school becomes more expensive then a state college for taxpayers.
Police, fireman, teachers get zilch, only those who were hired (through nepotism and depotism will benefit from your much lighter wallet).
That's about what it is after you scrape off all the rhetoric of how badly it is needed, fairness, adjustments, etc.and so on. |
