And it was classic. Totally great slapsticky throwback horror movie. Very little CGI, mostly prostheses and costumes. Here's my top 5 reasons you should see it:

5. Sam Raimi writes and directs. Remember Evil Dead? Cult classic. This movie almost feels like it could be in that continuity. The protagonist is generally abused in borderline Three Stooges fashion while at the same time getting bugs and corpse puke shoved down her throat. Gross...but wildly entertaining.

4. Justin Long is not irritating in it. He can be irritating, especially when trying to sell you a Mac. He doesn't do that here and is generally just normal, which is really a huge accomplishment when you think about it.

3. Its not stupid. Not like every other horror movie to come out in the last decade. Its well written, well acted, and stays interesting throughout.

2. The ending. Its not traditional. That's all I'll say.

Alison Lohman.

A quick google search reveals it is essentially impossible to take a bad picture of her.

I also could have easily listed her as all five reasons to watch the movie and felt comfortable with the list.

It was good, but be forewarned that a sweet little kitten dies in it. That kind of thing makes some people upset, even in movies where its fake.
