Bus, it was, at one time, the job of our Congress to do the work of t he nation.....now, it's their job to pad their wallets.....we have no statesmen in Congress, just filthy, low down criminal politicians. _________________ Exposing the secular humanist liberal "progressives". |

I agree for the most part. I would say 90% of Congress basically bought their seat by selling their souls to the lobbyists. I understood the need for money to campaign in the past, but with the new era of technology where setting up a web campaign is relatively cheap, grassroots still allows you to touch millions by going online, and word of mouth is actually a reliable and effective method of spreading your platform, I no longer see any reason why politicians should be able to legally take any corporate donations. All campaign donations from private entities should be not just public knowledge, but clearly and openly reported on the homepage of each and every politician. These politicians don't need to be pocketing hundreds of thousands from corporate interest groups on a yearly basis and we all deserve to know exactly who is paying them and exactly how much, and we shouldn't have to look for it. They should be forced to tell us. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |
