Also, Cy, we grade school kids used to have a stamp book either fom school or the post office where we bought "victory stamps' for a nickel or a dime and pasted the stamp in the book( like Green stamp books etc.) I think the value of a full booklet was 10 bucks, but can't remember.
Tried to Google but all I get is Victory postage stamps.
Also we had Victory gardens so more food could be sent to the troops. |

I beg to differ. Presidential and Congressional approval ratings were insanely high - the latter the highest it has EVER been. People approved.

Yeah, I think that one of you guys (V. P. Biden) said that it was patriotic to pay taxes......but I believe that he meant only during a LIBCHIT ADMINISTRATION....

Yes, filled the book at $18.75, and you got a $25 War Bond....
Yes, on the Victory Garden, also...in Westland, the gardens were behind the garages, near the baseball field.....
