I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder... 90% of the time, it's fine... but then, occasionally, I go to reach for something or push my chair back from my desk or even just turn the wrong way... and POW! It's like getting hit in the shoulder with a taser.
So far, this week, it hasn't happened while anyone was talking to me or walking past my door... so I haven't had to explain my freak out... but it's going to happen... I can tell.

Just tell them the exorcism wasn't completed properly and you're still wrestling with a dark spirit trying to steal your soul. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

thought I had it too E, same reaction. Was going to go on the DL, but realized it was caused by the way I slept on it at. Quit sleeping on my arm and its gone , been good for a month or more.
You may actually have a problem though, but since you don't do anything strenuous , I doubt it. |

When I'm at work, I sit and push buttons.
When I'm at home, I dig, cut, chop, trim, push, lift, carry, and shovel anything that you can possible imagine
I'll be cutting out a few shrubs this weekend... So I ought to be paralyzed on my right side next week
I've never actually been tasered... but I'd love to try it sometime _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

You and your wife switch sides of the bed for a few nights. You will be forced to change sleeping positions. Of course, neither of you may be able to sleep well, but see if that helps. Just a thought. _________________ -amom

I have tried to get her to do that... because I like to read before I fall asleep and the night stand and lamp is on her side... but she says my side of the bed feels funny and it's closer to the door so if someone breaks in, they will kill her first... _________________ The end is nigh! I'm serious, btw... she actually said all that...
We can't move the lamp to my side because that's where the dog sleeps and the dog is old and would get confused or lost or something if things were moved... _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Yeah, she figures that will give her enough time to jump out the window or something... _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Start closing the bedroom door and unlocking the window at night and see how long it takes before she offers to switch sides. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

I've had this exact conversation w/ my wife. The only difference is that it was my lower back, not the shoulder.
I have some (what I diagnosed as) minor sciatic nerve damage. I'll have to get up in the middle of the night and work out a cramp a few nights a week. |

When we were first married, our apartment didn't have enough room for our bed unless it was pushed against a wall. I got that side since adad usually got out of bed first. Once the kiddos arrived and I was the one to get up with them, I had to climb over a sleeping helpmate since by then "our sides" were habit. _________________ -amom
