Some of you may have seen this post on Facebook or received this e-mail that's been circulating:

The first red flag that the post could be inaccurate, was that they said "during a time of rampant inflation", when we know for a fact that there is deflation & that's why many are not getting COLA.
So I did 5 minutes worth of research, and check out what I found on Military Times magazine:

In other words, the Obama Administration is giving the military the highest raise permitted by law, & beefing up benefits to make up for the raise being low. So what's the big scandal? The post is just more uncalled for Obama-bashing...Yet people are reposting the lie & forwarding the e-mail without even giving it a second thought...I guess if you get it in an e-mail or someone posts on Facebook, it must be true!

It's like that BS people are posting about "If you support our troops, put this into your status, blah, blah, blah." News flash: Pretty much everybody supports the troops. Some of us might not agree with how our military forces are used, but we support the troops 100 percent. It's just another BS red herring to suggest that the "lefties" are against our soldiers.
