He just spoke it incomprehensibly.
Left-leaning folks here have in the past discussed other Democrats up on ethics or criminal charges and have repeatedly said Democrats as well as Republicans who err need to face the consequences. So what's BB's big deal, other than his dislike of Rangel, or blacks, or the CBC?
i'm still trying to figure out this story about Rangel. So far there's been one mixed ruling of the ethics committee on his actions. The only negative thing in the ruling relates to a trip he took. A trip for which he'd requested a ruling on from the committee before taking, and which the committee had issued a letter stating that the trip didn't violate ethics rules. Yet somehow now the committee says it did violate the rules. That seems odd.
I've also heard that other Congressmen, both Democratic and Republican, went on the exact same junket as Rangel. Why haven't they been up for review by the ethics committee if the trip violated ethics rules?
i freely grant that ethics is important, and that whenever an elected official violates ethics rules they should face appropriate consequences. But the circumstances surrounding Rangel's ethics review appear questionable. Then again, i'm not following the story as closely as i could.
