Phony, boobka, real quick, without being pedantic...Before the big bang theory, there was the steady state theory, which said that the universe was infinite in time and space, without beginning or end. In the old theory, there was no need for a god, and there was no origin because the universe was self-perpetuating.
Proof of the big bang changed all that, and demanded a moment of creation for space-time. Because this moment of creation defies physical explanation (so far) it leaves an opening for the possible existence of a Prime Mover - A Creator, a god. That is why the Vatican actively supports the big bang theory

God created the BIG BANG.....I bought that, long ago.
