I have a good freind (actually my wife's relative also) who rides with them. They get the royal welcome everywhere they go. I just don;t know how the control themselves-I would be finding other places for those signs to go!

I'm not a violent person, but if those Westboro people showed up at my kid's funeral, I'm afraid they'd be down on their knees, looking for their teeth on the sidewalk.

People like these a-holes even bring out MY violent side!!! It takes a lot to make me really angry bc I don't sweat the small stuff, but these "people" would make me lose it!

On Sunday, they were outside of the American Airlines Center in Dallas before the Stars vs. Coyotes game. I guess God hates hockey...

Though i completely understand the sentiment, that would be playing right into their hands. Fred Phelps was an attorney before he founded WBC, and one of the ways the church gets their revenue is by suing businesses, municipalities and people who try to shut them down for violating their first amendment rights and/or assaulting them. That's one of the problems with combating them, and one of the reasons groups like the Patriot Guard are so valued. They block WBC's protests without actually interacting with them.
When WBC came to Santa Fe a few years ago area churches worked with the police to block the WBC wackos without giving them any foothold for a first amendment suit. The police helped coordinate the use of area church buses parked along the street in front of the WBC protesters to completely block them from view. The police made sure that the WBC folks knew that they were free to hold their protests in the designated areas - which just so happened to be surrounded by large buses!  They packed up their signs pretty quickly, and aside from a tiny mention in local papers there were numerous editorials speaking out against the WBC brand of hatred, especially by local religious leaders.

I'm thinking of writing a personal letter to WBC requesting that they go picket in front of Phony's church. I will even offer them a donation. They hate Catholics, so it shouldn't be difficult to convince them.
Phony---there's nothing phony about my disdain for those people. You as a self-proclaimed super patriot should extremely offended by this group of lunatics that rudely disrupts & disrespects military funerals. But you are a phony that will support any freak, as long as they pretend to be Christians.
