Killer Klowns is a good underrated movie. Most of those movies on your list are overrated in my opinion, though. War epics are always hyped to death.

I see that point of view... but none of them are really considered "great" movies... Gladiator isn't going to be on any Time 100 lists... but gall-damnit if I won't watch it 30 times and love it every go-round.

Yeah, but I watch Better Off Dead like 10 times a year and I don't think it should be on any best-of lists.

I don't think I've seen that...

If it's awesome enough to watch that many times, it should be on YOUR best-of list Smile

I think "Willow" is underrated. Thanks, E.

mmmmmeh. I remember liking it okay. Being John Malkovich was a great movie that doesn't get a lot of remembrance.

You guys are mentioning so many movies that I'm adding to my Netflix queue!!!

I like good dramas, foreign films, most Almodovar movies...But here's a list of some of my favorite stupid movies. They're not great films, but I watch them any time I just want to be entertained and/or need a good laugh:

Napoleon Dynamite
Zoolander
Anchorman and a couple of other Will Ferrell movies
Grandma's Boy
Office Space
What about Bob?
Dodgeball
Dumb and Dumber
Fun with Dick & Jane
Nacho Libre

Idiocracy is also a pretty funny movie with a really good message! The Great Lebowski is HILARIOUS!

10 movies I would shoot into space to best represent the human condition, or bring with me to a deserted island..(Provided it had electricity and a TV..)
Last of the Mohicans
Braveheart
Camelot
The count of Monte Cristo
Wizard of Oz
Mary Poppins
E.T.
Hook
Blade-Runner
Cool Hand Luke

A couple of Brazilian films for your consideration, Ana: "God is Brazilian" and "The Man Who Copied." The better-known "City of God," "Carandiru" and "Bus 174" are excellent, too.

Blade Runner is a great movie, but maybe a little overhyped. I wouldn't shoot it into space though; its still a classic.

Zoolander was HIGHLY underrated. Very funny movie with some great classic scenes and lines. The gas station scene cracks me up just thinking about it. That movie did so poorly because of the timing of coming out right after 9/11. Nobody wanted to laugh, thus its remembered as not funny.

Grandma's Boy is hilarious. I was way late jumping on the bandwagon, but it gets funnier every time you watch it. Same goes for Napoleon Dynomite. "Tina, eat your ham!"

Anchorman is one of the most quotable movies ever. Scene for scene, I never stop laughing.

I always loved What About Bob, until I tried to watch it this past summer. Sorry, but it just doesn't hold up. I love Bill Murray. Gotta check out "Broken Flowers" and "Life Aquatic: Steve Zissou"
