I bought my tv on black Friday a couple years back... then someone stole it. I do shop on cyber Monday though.

I used to work at a bank, which was of course open the day after Thanksgiving. And the bank's location was in the middle of a mall and shopping area! I hated working that day because of all of the shopping idiots, until I caught on that I would just leave for work early, hit the stores myself at 6 a.m., then go to work and stay in until we closed. Now since I have Friday off, I am one of those shopping idiots. Embarassed

I avoid most stores like the plague on Black Friday, though I'll probably risk a trip to THE Giant Eagle. I can't even imagine getting up in the middle of the damn night to get in line to Christmas shop. That's one of the main reasons I gave up deer hunting. Laughing

I actually bought a couple things online last week and they should arrive over the weekend...

I may go to THE giant eagle sometime this weekend, too... or I might not. Is their beer thing open yet? I heard it didn't actually go off as planned last week.

I have to hit up THE giant eagle also. Gotta get some gift cards so I get the fuel perks for when I do go shopping... probably near Dec 23rd.

Ellipses was amused that I say I'm "going to the Giant Eagle," rather than "I'm going to Giant Eagle." So we call it "THE Giant Eagle." Wink

It's kinda like pittsburgese... in that I made it a point to point it out a few times and then it stuck... I have condescendingly said Yinz n at so many times that sometimes it slips out accidentally... I always say THE giant eagle now... I'm broken
