This is number 2. Her name is Freya, and she will not leave me alone. She is a sweetheart. She says hi to all on the forums, including the dog lovers. She gets along with all animals, including my incredibly grumpy first cat (Tao).

Just out of curiosity, does your new cat have a white spot
on its head...and was Freya (or Freida) the wife of Loki...?

Enjoy!

We have a year old female and two older male cats. We also have a pup that gets along fine with the males, but isn't smart enough to stay away from a kitten that absolutely hates dogs!

I'd like to get another cat, but it's just not an option with out dogs. Don't want to upset the delicate balance of the household. Wink Professor, what sort of pup did you end up getting?

Yep, that's where the name came from. The cat is a calico but its mostly white with the coloring only on the tail, the top of the head and a spot on its back.

She purrs when you so much as look at her funny.

A terrier and possibly the most playful animal I've ever seen. Also one of the most protective and if you so much as say ouch, she's right there. Say it again and she goes after the person next to you or you if you are alone. Strange dog, but she sure is a lot of fun!

Thanks Cy,
I recently discovered an old book that described
how a white spot near the head indicated "friendliness"
in any animal...Several local farmers (mostly dairymen)
confirmed this assumption, and claimed they use it as one
of many tools to evaluate animals....Just wondering if
there could be some kind of genetic marker combining the two
effects...Anyway, have fun with kitty...

Both my cats have some white on their heads and both are friendly, so sounds good to me.

Prof, my first dog when I was a kid was a rat terrier. Great little dog.

My heeler rolled in deer droppings not once, but twice on Sunday. And he's not the easiest guy to get into the bathtub. Made for a lovely afternoon. Laughing

I hate this time of the year. Everytime I take my dog to the park she rolls around in... I don't want to gross anyone out too much. But we have to hop in the shower afterward. Its really annoying. But if I don't run her, she goes absolutely crazy. Her ears go back behind her head, her eyes are taken over by some chemical imbalance, and the greyhound in her makes her run in circles.

I also hate that it gets so dark, soooo early. She killed two coons last year around this time because we were out late and it got dark.
