The article says: "Limbaugh makes no bones about doing his radio show for the love of money, not necessarily for the love of politics or the spirit of debate."
How does anyone still take him seriously? He's pretty much saying that the passion he displays in the show is contrived and therefore, so are his views...

WFT? Are you actually trying to claim that Maddow & Franken are secretly conservatives who only promote progressive views because they're paid to do so? Ondi has some facts to back up her claim about Limbaugh - his own words. What have you got to show that M & F are closet conservatives?

Your comparison of Ondi's news on Limbaugh to your usual derisiveness towards Maddow & Franken make no sense.
Limbaugh admits that his schtick is just that - schtick. He does it for the money and the crap he slings doesn't really represent his actual views, according to him. So your response is to accuse Maddow & Franken of making money espousing their actual views. What are YOU smoking?

No, you don't get it at all. You're comparing two very different things.
1. Rush Limbaugh admits that the polemic views he spouts aren't really his views, but he says them anyway because that's how he makes the big bucks.
2. You claim that Maddow & Franken are somehow similarly at fault, though you don't produce any evidence that they're making money espousing views they don't actually hold. Instead, you fault them for making money by spouting what are their actual perspectives.
You don't see the inherent contradiction in your comparison? Really?
If you're not smoking something, perhaps you should. You might end up thinking a bit more logically.

Phony...I don't listen to Limbaugh bc I'm not going to waste my time on him...But a couple of weeks ago I listened to a clip of Rush Limbaugh advocating for segregation in schools. I've listen to clips of him saying that slavery was not so bad, the whole Barack the magic negro and so on and so on...If he really means it, it's disturbing enough. But if he just says it for money and ratings, like he said in that interview, that is just plain irresponsible and evil! So I don't know which is worse.
I don't watch Rachel Maddow or any of the liberal talk shows either. Sometimes I watch Bill Mahr's HBO show. He's very liberal, but he criticizes both the Dems and the GOP, he just happens to dislike the GOP more. Of course they all get paid. It's their job...But let's be truthful. Usually the liberal talk show hosts don't go around making statements that are that are so controversial and even dangerous, they way that many conservative talk show hosts do. The problem is that usually those controversial neocon talk show hosts disguise and intertwine prejudice and bigotry as elements of conservatism and that is alarming!

i don't watch Rachel Maddow. Franken doesn't have a show anymore - he's a Senator now, remember? So i don't listen to him either. In fact, i hardly ever watch cable news.
But you sure seem to lap up every bit of idiotic swill that Allan Ginsberg's old boyfriend (the Savage Weiner) says, and you obviously had a soft spot (in your head) for Limbaugh.
