Unfortunately E we don't have a single unifying person in the mix yet and I don;t see anyone coming down the pike.

So, in the mean time, he who yells loudest... leads.
That only works in Kindergarten!

E I was for Rudy until his wife opened her mouth. The last election did not put anyone in the forefront. No one that I know who voted for McCain really cared for him. The last time I felt that way was when Dole was our candidate. Santorium screwed himself out of it so far, Romney ICK, Ridge ICK, Huckelberry names to weird to be President. I still like Sarah and GW.

Sarah, Bush, and Cheney are the sole reasons that Mac failed and the Republican Party self-incinerated. McCain would have won by 1/2 of 1% if that albatross Palin didn't take him down; the chit for brains running his campaign didn't help either.

I would say about 40% of the GOP agrees with you. The other 40% hate the likes of Bush and and Palin. And the last 20% is just feeling totally lost and considering joining the libertarian party. Your party is basically solidified right now because they all feel they have a common enemy in Obama and Congress, but come election time, expect to see those cracks wreak havok on conservative campaigns.

Oh, and remember... when you are talking about 40% of this or 40% of that and 20% in the middle... only 20% of people consider themselves "of the GOP."...

So, 8% of the population swings one way, 8% the other, and 4% are lost...

Maybe Ridge can come up with a color chart for the economy.

"Unemployment has now hit double digits. We have officially moved from yellow to orange."

Just an educated guess based on interactions with people who call themselves conservatives. I talk to a few on here and a handful more in various other forums as well as probably about 70% of my extended family being Republican. That's why I prefaced the statement with "I would say."

Actually, Abomb!, you, in one of your rare moments, make sense....OSAMA OBAMA is the best thing that happened to the GOP since Raygun.......Instead of trying to act like LIBCHITS, the GOP is going back to it's roots, and that is what the people want, so-called "moderates" included....

It is all so usual, Bush ignited the Dem party and their hatred of him. We used to joke that if it rained it was Bush's fault. Spill your coffee? Don't worry Bush's fault! Now if I am to read this correctly you think we will unite because the Dems united? Interesting but I guess there is precedence.
