You were legally able to marry the person you love. i want that exact same right - to marry the person i love. Since i can't, it's inequality under the law. Really simple.
Positing that i'm not denied the right as a gay man to marry because i could marry a woman is like me claiming that you are denied the right to marry because as a straight man you can't marry another man. In other words, a stupid argument.
