That is what the one did to me, you know how you automatically move in the opposite direction when something sudden and unexpected startles you? This bird was in leaves,under a light covering of snow, less then a foot away from my right boot ,and sounded like a heliocopter scattering snow and leaves when it took off.
I jumped, shotgun came up and went flying over left side, and only when I saw the grouse, did I quit moving. |

He'll follow them for a heckuva long way, somehow convinced that they'll fall from the sky into his waiting mouth. He's killed every ground animal known to man, and I'm certain that someday he's going to drag a young deer into the yard. I don't mind disposing of coons, groundhogs and possums, but that's where I draw the line.

I was hunting on the farm I hunt down on 231. Their dog was chasing a flying crow. Well, I wish I had video=-he was running, looking up and raising all kinds of hell, and ran smack into the side of the barn!

| One of those days when after hearing the national and local news-on t.v. and in the paper,Im thinkin the world is getting so bad-----its almost done I figure.Like the boy burned by the freaks.What the hell?Or the greed by the bank pigs to give and accept bonuses.What?Just a few things.Well, plus the weather might add to the funk of the day.All reasons to pray.Have a good day everyone-seriously. |
