Phony---are you suggesting that we start WWIII in order to end the economic crisis? _________________ "If by a 'Liberal' they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties ... if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal,' then I’m proud to say I’m a 'Liberal.'" ~ Senator John F. No, we have our "messiah", TINGLY LEG OSAMA, who promised us during his campaign "I'll provide the country with millions of new jobs....I'll save millions of jobs"......

Brant, the F.D.R. "make-work programs" did a lot of good, building post offices, city government buildings, etc., through the W.P.A....the C.C.C. kept a lot of kids off the streets, and the T.V.A. (still alive, today, I believe) did some good, also...
Other than that, the war brought us the great surge in heavy industry, that proved to be the key to prosperity..... _________________ Exposing the secular humanist liberal "progressives". |

China is still communist in my opinion. Socialism is a range, not a state of either yes or no. China is more socialist than we are but still more capitalist than the USSR was or Cuba is.

Reading about some of their business practices( today some political dude ripped them off for either 11 or 35 billion bucks, like Our Senate, Wall Street gangsters), Mcdonalds, KFC etc, poor workmanship, crappy products, , hell sounds like a democracy to me. |

IMO, that's a symptom of capitalism (economic changes) more than it is democracy (political changes). If China were a democracy, the internet wouldn't be three state sponsered web pages and a google that only searches those three pages. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Isn't that what capitalism really is? I am going to do an IMO now.
IMO capitalism and democracy , as our crack elected Pols define it, are synomonous. |

democracy (political changes). this definition too, Cy, while true as we both know, but to most has a more literal meaning and nothing to do with politics. |

Capitalism is an economic system. Democracy is a political system. They are not synonymous because they describe to related but independent functions of government.
You can have a Dictatorship or Monarchy that is still capitalist.
You can have a Democracy with socialist economic policies. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

I am going to do another IMO.
IMO, they can't call it a dict. or a mon., must have "buzz" words (don't have to be true or factual) and Democr. works well as a buzz word ( like the color terror alerts of the recent past or WMD's.) |
