I dunno... I have said things that I didn't expect to get posted... and they get posted...
Other times, I have said completely innocuous things and they never get posted.
A person has to physically post them, though... so a million variables can play into that... that person could be busy, on vacation, out of the office... you could type the verification word wrong... anything could happen, I guess...
One thing that is uber-annoying is how the pages automatically refresh every couple of minutes... if yinz could fix that, that would be great.

Auto-refresh is bad when you are in the middle of a comment and *poof* it's gone and you have to start over. (I'm thinking of typing my comments in Word, then copying and pasting.) And, sometimes my lame comments don't get posted either.

| bull!!!!!!!! if i put my name at the end of a comment it gets printed 50% of the time,i have wrote the same comment a day or two later and put another name and its printed..one thing try not to say anything negative of the prez...your chances go to 10% it will be printed.BB |

I don't mind it as much on the homepage... but there is no reason that Scott Beveridge's G20 Protest article should refresh while I'm reading it.
Luckily, if I am in the middle of a comment and it refreshes, my comment stays in the form... otherwise, I'd say the f word more

hmmm, my typed comments disappear when it refreshes. Must be this chipmunk-powered computer I use.

Well perhaps you are making conjectures about certain people, ie "Person a is totally inept." I wouldn't be surprised if they don't post that kind of thing since they could be liable.

Cy, isn't there a sort of guide or rules posted that say what is acceptable? I wouldn't post something someone writes and get sued if I am responsible for the content and I would be if it was an open forum.
Ithink that is still called "liable". |

All I know is that they are much more strict about what goes up on story comments compared to what we say on here. They have a different (higher) level of liability on the stories.
