They probably got another huge snowfall and he was afraid of trying to explain how record cold is actually a sign of global warming. _________________

Its not the "abomb logic," its the same logic that climatologists have used since the start. "Global Warming" was a misnomer from the beginning. It never should have been called that and no one ever claimed that the only result of it would be high temperatures across the planet. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. What malarkey are you on about now, Phony?
More than two months ago there were news reports that Mr. Gore canceled one 'slideshow & book promo' event in Copenhagen for which more than 3,000 people had purchased tickets, at a price of more than $1200 US per ticket. The tickets purchases were refunded. He went on to hold several other events in Copenhagen that were much less pricey for attendees and also delivered his planned speech at the official international climate summit.
Now you're braying about 'embarrassment' to the US over the cancellation because of some insignificant blog post? Oh, brother. Grasping for straws again. _________________ "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." ~Martin Luther King Jr.

It snowed a ton. You need warm air to hold moisture and create precipitation. Therefore, there was a lot of warm air involved. Again, this is the difference between "climate" and "weather". Look it up, or continue to be ignorant like your GOP Senators posting pictures on facebook. It doesn't matter to me either way. I'll just continue laughing as you continue to listen to paid mouths and I continue listen to scientific data provided by the meteorologist. _________________

Here ya go, Phony. New from Time magazine:
As the blizzard-bound residents of the mid-Atlantic region get ready to dig themselves out of the third major storm of the season, they may stop to wonder two things: Why haven't we bothered to invest in a snow blower, and what happened to climate change? After all, it stands to reason that if the world is getting warmer - and the past decade was the hottest on record - major snowstorms should become a thing of the past, like PalmPilots and majority rule in the Senate. Certainly that's what the Virginia state Republican Party thinks: the GOP aired an ad last weekend that attacked two Democratic members of Congress for supporting the 2009 carbon-cap-and-trade bill, using the recent storms to cast doubt on global warming.
Brace yourselves now - this may be a case of politicians twisting the facts. There is some evidence that climate change could in fact make such massive snowstorms more common, even as the world continues to warm. As the meteorologist Jeff Masters points out in his excellent blog at Weather Underground, the two major storms that hit Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., this winter - in December and during the first weekend of February - are already among the 10 heaviest snowfalls those cities have ever recorded. The chance of that happening in the same winter is incredibly unlikely.
But there have been hints that it was coming. The 2009 U.S. Climate Impacts Report found that large-scale cold-weather storm systems have gradually tracked to the north in the U.S. over the past 50 years. While the frequency of storms in the middle latitudes has decreased as the climate has warmed, the intensity of those storms has increased. That's in part because of global warming - hotter air can hold more moisture, so when a storm gathers it can unleash massive amounts of snow. Colder air, by contrast, is drier; if we were in a truly vicious cold snap, like the one that occurred over much of the East Coast during parts of January, we would be unlikely to see heavy snowfall. _________________

And this is not new among the Climate Change communities. This is what they have been saying from the start. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Come on with your bullchit, Abomb!.....here, read for yourself, ONCE AGAIN....
Gore Takes Tough Stance on Global Warming in Nobel Prize Lecture
Gore, a former U.S. vice president who served in Congress for many years, didn’t pull any punches in spelling out the dangers of global warming and condemning the political maneuvering that continues to delay the actions required to head off its most devastating effects.
Gore called for a tax on carbon emissions and “a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store carbon dioxide.”
Gore, whose solo campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of global warming was turned into the Oscar-winning documentary film, An Inconvenient Truth, also suggested an accelerated timeframe for a new international treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol. Gore urged world leaders to adopt “a bold mandate for a treaty that establishes a universal global cap on emissions and uses the market in emissions trading to efficiently allocate resources to the most effective opportunities for speedy reductions.”

Is there a point to what you just posted? And are you just going to ignore what I posted because it makes you look like more of an idiot, if that's possible? _________________

He's probably just going to claim he won the argument then skulk away, Brant. After cackling in one of his "bwaaaaa-haaaa-haaaaa....libchit" posts. _________________ "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." ~Martin Luther King Jr.
