The Steelers defense blows without Troy Polamalu. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

On a side note, Mike Logan is a good return man _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

I don't think too much of the blame can be put on the absence of Polamalu. Certainly, he's an important cog, but the Steelers have done well without him before. What worries me more is that the team is getting no pass rush (even before Troy's injury), and it looks as if Limas Sweed and Santonio Holmes are puffing blunts during the game. _________________

and it is having an effect on their ability to judge passes, "I see two footballs coming at me" Nah, its not "blunts" or anything else other then they are just human and not the "Star Wars" galatic non-human warriors we have created them to be. |

Stephan Logan is the rookie returnman. Mike Logan was a Steelers safety for quite a few years. He retired, and I'm pretty sure he does a radio show on ESPN's local affiliate 1250 AM.
Sweed's drop was just horrible. And Holmes looks like he's playing volleyball the way he is batting at the ball. It was good to see Fast Willie going. Stillers really should've won. |

I doubt the offense is buying any of the defense lunch this week. _________________ -amom

The Offense has their own mistakes to atone for. Limas Sweed dropped the easiest catch in the history of competitions involving grasping moving projectiles. All he had to do was not go ragdoll. He wasn't even touched. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Agreed. Mistakes were made the entire game. Blackballed just asked what the team would be thinking after the last drive. _________________ -amom

I do not think Troy would have made a big difference on that last drive-they had too many guys open on every play. It was just a total breakdown in the midfield defense. And Holmes may have been wonderful in the Super Bowl but he is getting paid big money to catch ALL passes _________________

Time to get Vick and Plaxico on a work release program to PPittsburgh?
Bet Plaxico wouldn't get covered real close no more, unless defenders have a "wand" or the ref's wand him every time he comes on the field. |
