Don't know, I should be off here in a second for them to bring it out and switch me. I just know its a Vaio and they were asked to load me up with ram so I can run the Adobe Suite without any problems. My current XP machine is running 2 gigs, so I hope they at least double that. Processor will presumably be a dual core.

We've got Seven on the new laptops the sons got for Christmas. There are some cool features and it takes some getting used to (for me anyway). Have fun.

I assumed you had all that (Dual core, several gigs of sheep) currently since you work with adobe products Smile ...

I am not a fan of Vaio's... but that's cool nonetheless.

This current one I have is a Vaio too. I like it but it seems to age a little faster than average. Its already showing some signs of slowdown and its not even a year old.

This migration is taking forever. I'm on the spare at the office right now...can't really do any work cause all my materials are in limbo. New machine is Core 2 Due, 4 gigs ram, 7 pro 64 bit.

First experience with windows 7 is that it has terrible compatibility problems with adobe cs4. Most of my suite doesn't work at all. Never had this with Vista. Just sayin.

After 4+ hours on tech support with our tech support guys, they threw in the towel. Round 2 tomorrow morning with Adobe tech support.

Was the tech in India? I spent over 4 hours with one on a Norton issue, she even stopped to go to breakfast for 30 minutes. never did resolve the issue and ended up having a Security Suite installed. Not what I paid for, but by then, take what you can get.

No, this guy was a local company that we hire to do our tech stuff for us...although I could do most of it myself if they would let me. Anyway, this company handles all our software and hardware installations when we order new computers. They installed all the Adobe stuff for me so that's why we went through them first. No idea where Adobe's tech people are located, but that's who I'm on with today. Hopefully somewhere where english is recognized.

Don't count on it. I called our local Lowe's yesterday and spoke to a woman with such an accent, I couldn't begin to understand her and tired of asking her to repeat. She finallly put a different person on the phone. Rolling Eyes

But good luck with getting things to work!
