Maybe that miracle is documented in the Dead Sea Scrolls! _________________ "If by a 'Liberal' they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties ... if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal,' then I’m proud to say I’m a 'Liberal.'" ~ Senator John F. Those were some "revelations"! | And just 'cause i'm such a Bible geek - the current scholarly consensus is that St. John of Patmos (a/k/a St. John the Divine), who wrote the Apocalypse, was most likely a Palestinian Jewish Christian who fled to the Diaspora as a consequence of the First Jewish Revolt against the Romans (66-72AD). Therefore (despite what fundies might claim) not the John who was one of the Christ's 12. It wasn't until decades later that the writings of Justin Martyr first equated John of Patmos with John the son of Zebedee and started the church's traditional claim that St. John the Apostle wrote the book of Revelation. Other early church writers (late 3rd century- Eusebius Pamphili, Bishop of Cæsarea in Palestine and 4th century - St. Jerome of Stridonium) attributed authorship to a third John, John the Presbyter.
Sorry. Like i said, i'm a Bible geek. _________________ "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." ~Martin Luther King Jr.
