I do everything with my right hand... my left hand might as well be a foot

I have the greatest respect for good switch-hitters (not that kind, Phony). I can put the bat on the ball left-handed, but with nowhere near the power. And I couldn't even imagine trying to golf lefthanded. What's weird to me is that there's no difference in the typing abilities of my left and right hands.

I could switch-hit... but only like in that "slapper" style... where you are just smacking grounders in the gap...

It was more to try to beat out a squibbler that you placed between third and short than anything else.

My grandmother did have left-handed scissors, however.

Father Naperolski wouldn't let me Mikey?, use his left handed rosary during vespers. Called him a little devil.

Actually he fingered the beads with his left hand, we gave it the name, "left handed rosary".

That reminds me... In middle school, I came across this zip up jacket that had a left handed zipper. I wore it all the time. It was easier for me to zip up. So finally this chick I was friends with told me that that is how they make girl's clothing. Embarassed

I agree, switch hitting is phenomenal to me. I used to be good at drag bunting left handed. My coach pulled me aside after batting practice and said, "Don't you think the other team is gonna catch on and pull the infielders in when they see you hitting lefty?" Duh!

Its helped me out in hoops though. Not that I'm great, but I can shoot both ways as long as I'm close to the hoop. I have a right handed jumper though.

I (and my two brothers) do everything right handed except swing a bat or golf club. Amazing how every now and then someone tries to convince you aren't and tries to change you to be a righty.

Later in life it made me realize what a gay person must feel like when some damn crusader tries to change them.

( I can't type with either hand, though, so that is all I am ambidexterous at doing, or not doing).

Yeah, I knew that. Apparently goes back to the time when men would dress themselves but women would have chamber maids dress them...thus the buttons are reversed so its easier to fasten facing the dress rather than wearing it.

Its funny how in culture we identify people as either left or right handed, yet so many of the people I know at least who are "left-handed" still favor their right in one or more daily activities.

Even funnier is that fact that we as a society and our education system in particular refuses to recognize the difference between right brain and left brain thinkers.

I bought one of those at Gabe's once and it took a few weeks before I realized what the f was different with it.

Also Cy, never use your left hand to eat with a fork if you are right handed. You eventually will stab yourself in the eye and will have to wear an eye patch for the rest of your life.
