The only frustration I have with Pittsburgh is that its not big enough (and not coastal). The perfect city to me was Istanbul, minus the fact that you never feel quite right in another country's city. Domestically, I'd probably like living in New York a lot. We lived in a sticksville town while I was getting my masters and it drove me crazy for two years. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! I agree with you completely brant-I am a country boy and like my open spaces and open roads. I avoid Pittsburgh like the plague. _________________

I worked downtown Pittsburgh for 10 years and loved it! Especially in the snow and at Christmas. Now I'm in hicksville, and I love it too. I must have grown up and settled down. But I don't hesitate to drive anywhere if it's somewhere I want to or need to be. Between the Meadows and the Rivers? hmmm
Is neither an answer? _________________ -amom

Freethinker, I forget which thread you were gathering job info from. But this was on the PG:
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino has started accepting applications for table game jobs.
Officials at the Washington County complex said those interested can apply on line at www.meadowsgaming.com. The casino is expected to hire as many as 700 people for its table game operations. About 400 of them are expected to be dealers, jobs which are estimated to pay $40,000 to $50,000 a year with tips. _________________

That's what I'm saying! Are there part time dealers? _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

I'd love dealing Texas Hold'Em, but I'd settle for Black Jack. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

The dealers had better hope that table games attract a younger crowd than the slots, because from all I've been told, old people, on average, don't tip worth a damn. _________________

I would assume that they do, in fact, attract a younger demo... It's not my thing, but the 18-34/male crowd is batchit crazy for poker... _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |
