Well, almost ten, but who's counting?

Pssst: Don't let the OR see #6.
Oh, and I put this under Tech cause most of the things are tech-related. _________________ -amom

Wow, they really can't count. Smart money my foot.
I feel incredibly uncomfortable about that whole backing up files online thing. I don't want my files out there in cyberspace for anyone to potentially hack and steal. One incident like that, and backup hard drives will be a hot item again. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

What kind of limitations are on cloud backup? How does it work in regard to accessing that information?
Can I access my cloud backup the way I would a normal hard drive? Or am I accessing it via a proprietary API?
The reason, of course... is that "documents" don't really take up a lot of space... the reason you need external storage is for media--- music, movies, pics, etc... Which is enjoyed more by pulling it into traditional entertainment devices like TV's, home stereos, and mobile devices. If I can only access my stuff from a web browser on a computer, it's not as goodly
That, and I don't really want to put all my pirated stuff out on the internet where inspector gadget can long-arm me _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |
