Reasons not to be upset about the Steelers:

- They are going to lose the division to the Bengals. When was the last time the Bengals won this division and then remained relevant for a consecutive season?

- The Ravens aren't doing any better.

- Yeah, you lost to the Chiefs and the Raiders. But it could be worse. You could be the Chiefs or the Raiders.

- You weren't going to win the Super Bowl anyway; it's been pretty solid that Peyton is going again from the AFC since about three weeks ago.

- This frees you up to start following the Pens earlier, who have persevered through some early injuries and are still looking pretty solid.

- They're still better than the Pirates.

- Key players will benefit from the longer off season to heal, get back to 100%, and roll into next season with all the momentum in the world.

- You won't have to stress over the Green Bay and Baltimore games; they don't matter anymore.

- Players in contract years will be cheaper to resign next season.

- Ben won't bang some gold digger in a drunken celebration this spring, eliminating a headache inducing camp distraction next preseason.

- Mike Tomlin has learned a valuable lesson about not being a powder puff coach; better he learn it now than later.

- Troy will have more time to concentrate on his hair.

- The Super Bowl will be a stress-free Sunday; no nerves worrying about whether or not your team is going to pull it out, just a meaningless game with snacks and friends.

- Winning the Super Bowl feels better when you don't do it every single time.

- This builds character.

- And it prevents pride, which becomes arrogance, which makes you a prick.

- Potential for some exciting draft choices.

- Maybe the FO will finally address the o-line.

Speaking of draft picks, I'm all for selecting that wide receiver from Texas. The kid would make a nice replacement for Ward, who, in my opinion, seems to have lost a step this year.

This is their second winning season in 20 years.

Steelers have been known to have Peyton's number. You're right, not in Indy though.

What? You won't put $500 on the underdog, $100 on the coin toss, and a total of $500 on other prop bets?

I'm a huge Jordan Shipley fan... because hes white. So what, I root for white WRs. Its not racists, I just identify with them.

Ward was the #2 WR in the NFL through week 7 or 8. Now he is down to #10. Still, top 10 in the entire NFL aint bad at all. Holmes leads in yards. They do have an extra game on every one else though.

Ward will eventually need replaced. He has never been a speedster out there so losing a step won't effect him like it might effect other guys. Hes a savy vet who finds the holes in zones better than anyone in the NFL. And when healthy, hes still the best run blocking WR in the game.
