"The Real Stuff" is starting with a counterful of stuff that everyone would recognize - carrots, potatoes, flour, butter, water, salt, pepper, lemons, tomatoes, garlic, etc... and ending up with something else that is a clever and skillful combination of those things.

It's starting with potatoes and cream and cheese and salt and pepper and the like... and ending with casserole of awesomepants... instead of starting with a box of dried potato product, a packet of powdered monosodium glutamate and dehydrated and chemically preserved parsley-like flakes

It's knowing how to make every component of your food... from the pasta to the sauce...

It's not for everyone... I'm just saying, I like to make things that will eventually get flushed down the toilet Smile

eating like what?

"Whatever you want," as you put it. Junk food, processed food, most things prepackaged that are cheap at grocery stores. Potato chips, frozen dinner, a lot of sandwich meat, processed cheese, anything fried, large quantities of fatty red meat, fast food, pretty much anything you get at a restaurant anymore based on the quantity...I could go on.

That's why I couldn't be vegan... if you go too far in either direction, you cease to eat "real" food...

I don't see any benefit to eating a simulated burger made of chemically modified soy proteins... compared to eating a "real" burger made of chemically modified meat proteins Smile

I just don't want to eat laboratory food... that's all Smile

Ok, got it and like I said, and you said, eating like that more often then not leads to " make those last several years much more unpleasant" and into the need for those Meds that prolongs the agony.( this could be a lead in to the "Health Care" debate Laughing , like," how much responsibility does the government have to assume to keep us healthy when we screw our health up in the first place?"

Bottom line, "We eat to live, not live to eat". Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil

My god, can you imagine if we tried to pay for health care with a baconaise tax?

A revolution, I say... a revolution!

A thing about milk:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=121205338

I have to admit, I DO have a vice... salt and vinegar, kettle cooked potato chips... I don't care what's in 'em... I want to put them in my mouth over and over again.

Honestly, if I had to eat tofu, tree bark and berries and live to 80 or eat what I eat and live to 65, I'm going with the latter.

I agree to some extent...but there's lots of other things in life I like to do more than eating and I want to keep doing them.

Hard for some to understand that, Some will spend a few hundred bucks to eat at some food joints, some will have the Daily Special for 5 bucks.

It all becomes what you sayit does; and as far as I know, there are no seperate drains for the 200 buck crap or the 5 buck crap at the Sewage Plant. Question

Great point. Bus ...!! I've also noticed that all the stuff that doesn't go down the toilet, becomes the substance that I am made of....And that's a very good way to remain humble
