With baby boomers pushing back retirement and Gen Yers being hired at cheaper scales, do you feel Generation X suffers in the workforce?

Kenneth D. Lewis, of Bank of America
Don't trust me, just google his salary
and then look at his bonuses compared to
other businesses...Then discover that he's
quitting 'cause it ain't enough money...

As long as I can remember, educators have been telling my generation about the job openings that will be created by the boomers. So yes, it is factually correct that the longer they work, the longer it will be for their job to open up to others.

Speaking as a boomer, we have been through repressions too; the early 70's, early 80', the 90's dot com burst and the last year and a half. Many of us were terminated during some or all of those times. we survived and the Xers will too.

We had more young boomers coming after our jobs and older workers hanging on as well.

Xers need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and get to work.

Judging from the crowd at the local Workforce Connections office, baby boomers are having a pretty crappy time of it right now. It's shocking to me how many married couples in their 50s and 60s are both out of work due to layoffs and unable to find jobs for the first time in their lives.

Ampy, you simply must read the "glowing, rosy job reports" of Cy and E, the above are but a figment of the "naysayers" imagine.

What are you trying to prove? Unemployment went from 10.2% to 10%. There is no conceivable way to spin that as bad news.
