Microsofts answer to google maps is out in beta and its pretty effing sweet. Compared to google, it loads waaaaay faster. And you can download a 3d plugin for it to switch to a google earth style view, except that they've added actual 3d to the surface of the planet; its still in beta so there isn't a lot, but this means landmarks and structures stick up from the map and can be viewed in from the top and from a side view. Even this option loads very fast considering. Check it out; I might blog about it later.

3d mode with aerial view on is so badass over Manhattan.
