Make sure you have Microsoft Silverlight installed, then go to that link. Boom, you are running a webOS. You can do anything you want from within that OS, including installing your own programs and running them.
Why is this cool?
Say you're on an old crappy computer but you want to install the demo of the hottest new game and try it out. Via this OS, you use the power of the cloud to support the application even if you're own machine couldn't. This is of course just an alpha so it doesn't have a full range of features...yet...but this should help illuminate the potential cloud computing has to revolutionize the way we use computers. _________________ The end is nigh! A lot of these webos' have mobile versions, which when you think about it is huge. Basically, consider running your iphone as if it were a fully decked out gaming rig. Assuming they find some way to reconcile screen resolution, you could be playing Crysis or editing video in flash from your iphone at whatever speed your wireless connection is. _________________ The end is nigh! Cool! _________________ "If by a 'Liberal' they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties ... if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal,' then I’m proud to say I’m a 'Liberal.'" ~ Senator John F.
