Ditto here mom, also stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage served with mashed potatoes covered with the gravy from it, and sautéed peas or green/yellow beans, or my favorite, lima beans(a big can).
I'm the only one who like this one, stuffed hot peppers. They come out tangy. Not near as hot as when they were fresh.
tip. always wear rubber gloves when working with a lot of hot peppers. Dag gone fire stays on your fingers for a long time and if you touch any orifice or open area on your body(eyes, mouth, nose, ears, and down blow), you will know it, especially the EYES. it will also burn your hands if your are canning more then a few jars and hurt for a days sometimes. |

My mother is one of the most wonderful people on the planet, but the proper use of her meatloaf would have been as a doorstop. Back in the olden days, it seemed that most home cooks believed the proper way to cook meat was to roast it until it could be used to drive nails. Thanks for the link, Bus. It's getting to be crockpot season. _________________ "The priest, realistically considered, is the most immoral of men, for he is always willing to sacrifice every other sort of good to the one good of his arcanum – the vague body of mysteries that he calls the truth."

LOVE banana peppers stuffed with hot sausage! My ulcer hates them but the rest of me loves them!
The only thing I like better than meatloaf is cold meatloaf sandwiches _________________ Always drink upstream from the herd! |
