Since OR forums are closing next week, bogsource forums present a good opportunity for all of us to stay in contact. I enjoy talking to you all on a daily basis (yes, ALL of you) and would like to invite you to our forums.

I'll explain now that our rules are a little different. At bogsource, we don't have a profanity filter. I realize this could be a turnoff for some, but we decided against it. We still expect a level of decency though; no porn or hate language will be tolerated. That's pretty much the same as it is here. That said, we probably won't ban users. There might be different methods of enforcing those rules that I'm looking into.

Also, the forums are still somewhat under construction. I'm continuing to add new features. One feature in place that people might like is a karma feature. If someone posts something you like, you can give them positive karma points. If someone posts something that you feel is inappropriate, then you can give them negative karma. We encourage negative karma for people who are being disruptive or inappropriate, but NOT for opinions you simply disagree with.

We'll preserve peoples' post counts in the move and if amom and brant decide they want to join, they are already offered moderator positions.
