Just me an E on the email. We don't have your password though. Only you will know that. We would have the ability to temporarily change your password if you forget it and request a change, but then you could login and change it again and we'd have no idea. If you're worried about the email, just set up a free account somewhere random. Its only there to make it harder for spambots to register; we're never going to use it to contact you.

There is the same messaging functionality at the new one...
Also, since it is a paid for and hosted site... I personally would like to be able to offer some sort of value-added services... the possibilities are limited only by the scope of copyright law But seriously... we have the ability to potentially offer some neat things via that site... I just haven't imagined them yet

Yeah, the site is only really about 20% done. There's lots of features that are just notes on a scarp of paper on my desk right now.
We're going to be a little more lenient in terms of bans too (BB and phony will be glad). We're still not going to tolerate bigotry, but the karma system adds a sense of self-policing justice and with the ability to alter post counts, we might issue "slap on the wrist" style punishments as a subtraction of posts. I'm thinking about instituting a time-out board too where if you get real bad, instead of being banned you get coralled off into a different forum where you can still chat with us or other "banned" members, but can't harass the law-abiding citizens for a day or so.

There is an option in your profile. You'll want to make sure "Other members can email me" is turned off. Even if its turned on, it doesn't actually give them your email address, it just allows them to email you through a form in our forums. But if you want to avoid the occasional spambot, I suggest everyone turn that option off. The PMs are perfectly adequate and E and I will also be able to send a mass email to everyone if there is going to be forum downtime or something.
