This takes unbelievable gall:

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A former Ku Klux Klansman convicted in the 1964 slayings of three civil rights workers is suing the FBI and Mississippi’s attorney general.
Edgar Ray Killen claims they conspired to suppress his rights to “defend his society and culture.” The former saw mill operator and one-time Baptist preacher is currently serving a 60-year sentence.
He was convicted in 2005 of manslaughter in the deaths of Michael Schwerner, James Chaney and Andrew Goodman.
The federal lawsuit filed Wednesday seeks millions in damages and a declaration that Killen’s rights were violated when the FBI allegedly used a mafia gangster during its investigation.
An FBI spokeswoman had no immediate comment.

Based on my experiences in the South, a lot of it still exists today. I lived in your state for several years and visit often, and there are still plenty of white racists there.

Agreed. There are pretty bad pockets of it right here in Western PA. Will still never forget the conversation I had during the Democratic primaries with a guy around here. Hillary was on TV and I asked if he was going to vote for her. His response: "No, she needs to get back in the kitchen." I then asked if he was going to vote for Obama. Response: "I ain't voting for no spook." He was dead serious. I've never heard anything like that before, including living for several years in Alabama.

I heard plenty of that kind of talk in the Deep South, but you guys are correct in saying that it exists everywhere. And Jack Murtha was correct in saying that Southwestern Pennsylvania is a racist area.

I didn't move to GA until '89 & I've witnessed plenty of KKK rallies. I remember how shocked I was the first time I saw them marching at the Stone Mountain Village. I got so angry, I started yelling out the car window. My mom kept telling to shut up before WE got lynched by the mob!

Why shouldn't we limit it to the whites? White people are 60+% of the population. Racist against whites is often in response to perceived racism by whites. If white people weren't racist, no one else would have become racist.
