Phony has to rely on the "talking heads" because he doesn't have an operational one of his own. _________________

However I just read an article on Yahoo about conservative talk show hosts blasting McCain on several issues so I know your sources. |

Were the pills meds, whatever on the shelves or kept under lock and keyin Europe?, , second, and most importently, do you think their lobbyists (non-script manufactuers) would even allow this??? |

Here is what Phony is blathering on and on about, on multiple threads, as usual. It's a perfectly common-sense proposal, which explains why Phony is against it:
PHOENIX (AP) -Sen. John McCain has introduced legislation requiring manufacturers of dietary supplements to register with the Food and Drug Administration and to disclose the ingredients.
The Arizona Republican says that, if passed, the measure would give the FDA authority for a mandatory recall if a product is found to be unsafe.
"All we're saying is, list the ingredients, OK?'' McCain told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Thursday. "And register so people will know what they're taking into their bodies. It's not really outrageous when you think about it.''
Baseball commissioner Bud Selig urged adoption of the bill, which is co-sponsored by North Dakota Democrat Byron Dorgan. Several athletes who have tested positive under various drug programs have blamed their troubles on unlabeled substances in dietary supplements.
McCain, an ardent sports fan, has long lamented steroid use in baseball.
He said his bill would protect professional and Olympic athletes as well as casual sports participants who turn to supplements to boost their performance.
"Obviously, it would affect everybody because they're so dangerous,'' McCain said. "We've had amateur athletes die. It's not as if it isn't dangerous.'' _________________

phony-where you were wrong was pointed out to you already. His bill simply wants all ingredients listed in dietary supplements not already controlled by the FDA. Do a little work for yourself once in awhile instead of being wrong all the time. _________________

SSSS, once "your" government starts a take-over process, it doesn't stop until they screw up the whole system...
I don't need the government to demand that we must have a doctor's prescription to buy VITAMINS.....period..
Stay the hell out of my life, and I'll be perfectly content....I don't need more government intervention within my daily life..... _________________ Exposing the secular humanist liberal "progressives". |

This is just more of your lunatic-fringe craziness. Nobody is suggesting that you should have a prescription to buy vitamins. Maybe you should look into some Alzheimer's drugs. _________________

I wonder if this would apply to the cigarette companies? If so, this would explain the ridiculous republican outrage.
