Making people weep apparently sells. And I'm sure we've talked about this before, but Channing Tatum is Sir Laurence Olivier when compared with Paul Walker.

Here's a chick flick plot written on the fly...

Old black Christian hospital janitor, racist, because the white firemen wouldn't help save his family from their burning house....Lost everything and everyone...
Plays scrabble after hours with a 12 year old white girl who is waiting for a heart transplant...He finds out by accident that he is a perfect match..
Then one day, on the scrabble board, are the words DONATES HEARTS shaped in a perfect cross...He arranges his own cop-assisted suicide so that she can receive his heart...

Yes, it's easy to do -- but if it makes you cry, that proves you're still human

Free- Wow! Reminds me of "Seven Pounds". That was a good movie! I don't mind crying if the story is good.

Sorry Ondi, never saw that movie or read the book...I was just generalizing a typical story, and typical for my luck, it must have already been done....No matter -- my major point was that is okay to cry at sad movies...And I'll beat the chit out of any man who disagrees

Free- your story wasn't the same! But you should watch "Seven Pounds". I think you'll like it!

Thanks, sweetheart -- but quick question....Is seven pounds, the weight of a human's heart...? If so, I may have seen it, and inadvertently repeated it as my own....

My brain is only three pounds

Hehehe...I think "Seven Pounds" means something else in this movie...But if I tell you what it means, I'll spoil the movie for you!

The last movie that brought tears to old SSSS was Eight Below. If you are a dog lover do NOT watch it.

Yeah, I got word of that one in advance and thankfully avoided it. I don't know if anyone saw that old movie called "The Incredible Journey," where a cat and two dogs get separated from their family and find their way home. When the old dog came over that last hill, I was bawling like a baby.

Was that like homeward bound?

Yeah, same thing, different name. Heck, maybe it was "Homeward Bound" that I was thinking of.

Just did a little digging. It appears that "Homeward Bound" was a remake of "Incredible Journey."

Yes, Brant...Homeward Bound, with Michael J. Fox, and the guy from the Airplane movies.....If you don't cry, when Shadow gives up in the ditch --- then you have no soul, and you're not worth speaking to
