1st quarter is over. The Colts are in command of this game, but the Saints won't roll over that easily. They'll make this competitive soon enough.

They said that the colts' td drive was tied for the longest in SB history... Did Montana and the 49ers share that record?

I don't know but as many times as he went with them, I'd say its a good chance.

Dwight Freeney is a beast.

So the Who is going to be playing a medley of their songs at half time. I think its good odds you'll hear all three of their CSI songs among others. I'm banking on the CSI Miami theme being the opener.

Colts defense just made a goal line stand on 4th down that could be huge. If Manning marches the filed for points here, the Colts start the second half with a 10 point lead at least and the ball.

Saints owned the second quarter but only came away with 6. This game is going to be far from the shootout people were expecting.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that this will go into overtime

Wow, very unManning like. Peyton has no one to blame but himself for that one.

Well, that's game. Saints kept Manning off the field and took advantage of his receivers' drops. Honestly, even with his pick, he should have won this game, but give credit to Sean Peyton; his coaching is what really won this.

Brees' numbers are fantastic and he'll get the MVP.

Heck of a game last night. The trading scores back and forth was really amazing. In the end, the Saints won the game the way they won so many during the season. A balanced offense and a huge play by their defense. The decision to go for it on 4th and goal before the half really worked in the Saints favor also. Despite getting stopped, they held the Colts, got the ball back, and ended with 3 pts anyway AND ending the half. Great kicking. Great time management.

Boo, Hiss. No power until halftime...it's just not the same with a radio play by play. Got to see The Who, though (yeah, they are old) and the second half that I stayed awake for. I would have liked to see the Saints lose just because of their sideline celebrations before the game was over. And I like how Peyton manages his team when he's off the field too. Oh well.

Quote:
How unlikely was Manning's interception?

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Manning hadn't thrown a fourth-quarter interception on a potential game-tying or go-ahead drive with the Colts trailing in his previous 33 games (30 in the regular season and three playoff games). Manning's statistics under those circumstances during that time (regular- and postseason combined): 60-for-106 (57 percent), 878 yards, 7 TDs, 0 INTs (105.8 passer rating).
