I'm a music snob. If other people have heard of the band, its commercialized crap. But if other people haven't heard of the band, they have poor taste in music. Its a catch 22, but I don't give a chit.

I'm pretty snobby with music. But ever since I built this little recording studio and gave it shot for myself, I have a lot more respect for those who are even slightly talented.

Lately I've been making some "drops" for my friends radio show. I did a sappy song for a Humane Society commercial that was pretty funny, but they said there was too much sarcastic undertone. "When you don't have a leg to stand on... A dog has four" Laughing

I wrote that.

I guess I have about twenty works in progress going. Thats always been my issue. I always think I can do better. It would also help if I could sing. Its just a hobby.

I used to sing jingles and do voice-overs, mostly for Spanish commercials. Most of them were pretty crappy and/or cheesy. The one that I'm kinda proud of is a commercial that I did for a junk yard called "Pull-A-Part" bc it was a little scandalous. The basic concept of this junk yard is that they can take the part out of the car for you for an extra charge or you can get it cheaper if you take the part out of the car yourself. So for the first part of the commercial, in my sexiest 1-900 phone number voice, I said something like,

"Hey, handsome...Do you see anything you like? We're here to serve you...Do you want to pull it out yourself or do you want me to do it for you?" Laughing

Then the announcer came on and said, "Get your mind out of the gutter!" and he proceeded to explain how "Pull-A-Part" works. I have a pretty distinctive voice, so as soon as that commercial hit the airwaves I started getting phone calls. Some people thought it was hilarious, others were shocked & couldn't believe I'd do that! Laughing
