The best grilled cheese sandwich ever came from the downtown Kaufmann's third floor lunch counter! I drool thinking of it.

It was invented by Seamus O'Leary in 1789. Seamus was sent by his mother to towne to fetch ye olde loaf of bread. At the local taverne, he stopped for a pint of ale and become perplexed as to his whereabouts and mission. Hours later, finally stumbling into the bakery, he found himself staring at loaves of many different colours. They were presented in a manner such that, his vision and balance already compromised, it became quite a task to locate exactly the desired varieties of loaf requested by his dear mum. Settling first on a loaf of wheat, he then mistakenly moved into the dairy section of Farmer McMurray's sundries and grasped a wheel of Chevington. The long walk back through the shire restored Seamus senses to him and by the time he crossed the threshold of the bungalow his family shared, he was fully sober. However, upon seeing his mission completed only half as much as was requested (one loaf of ye olde bread instead of two), Seamus' ma cast him to the floor and struck him with a broome. In the melee, the cheese and bread were cast to the fire, where the bread toasted and the cheese melted onto it. Seamus, attempting to access his wits, cried that his foul was intentional as he had meant for the cheese to be melted onto the bread as such as a surprise for dear old mum. Hesitating, she grasped the cheesy loaf and pinched a piece off. She tried it and it was delicious!

I make a damn fine grilled cheese, if I do say so myself. And Bus, the Foreman grills come in a variety of sizes, including ones big enough to do a couple of steaks in. I much prefer the grill for steaks, or the oven broiler, but the Foreman would do it. I use my Foreman mostly, actually only, to cook boneless chicken breasts that I'm going to cut up and use in a recipe.

I wonder if they used Guinness cheese? Father inlaw brought a wheel of this back from Ireland a few years ago. I wish I had appreciated it more.

Its funny how in culture we identify people as either left or right handed, yet so many of the people I know at least who are "left-handed" still favor their right in one or more daily activities. Hell, I'm right handed, but I hold a phone with my left hand and had considered trying to learn guitar lefty because it sometimes felt more comfortable. The few times I've played hockey, I've always preferred a left swing. I can shoot basketball equally accurate with both hands (which is to say not very accurate with either). I use my fork with my right hand (you're supposed to use it with your left). When I used to wear a watch, I was told I was always wearing it on the wrong wrist (left).
